Puako Petroglyph Achaeological District

This was the last day of the meeting. I stayed for most of it but decided to leave early in order to finish up some things we wanted to do. We finished packing and checked out of the hotel.

Our first stop was to see the petroglyphs. It turns out they are located right beside the golf course. The driveway is located right behind one of the greens and crosses a cart path.

There are over 3,000 petroglyphs located in the park, and one would have to hike quite a ways to view them all. It was very hot and sunny, and we did not want to get all sweaty. Fortunately, the park had gathered together a nice collection of the petroglyphs and laid them out for easy viewing. We took a few photos and moved on.
